SELF-CARE ADVOCATE PROGRAM

Self-Care Advocate

MODULE 1: SELF-CARE ADVOCATE

Introducing the Self-Care 7 - the scientific protocol that helps you take control of your health. When you apply these steps in order, you use the most effective way to reduce risk factors and rebuild your health.

MODULE 2: CONVENTIONAL MEDICAL MODEL

In 2020, U.S. healthcare spending reached $4.1 trillion or about $12,530 per person; this amounts to about 18.5% of GDP. For this spending, one would hope that we'd have a healthy, fit, and even thriving population. The reality is that the US ranks 24th in terms of longevity, 29th in terms of infant mortality, and 11th in healthcare outcomes.

MODULE 3: REDUCE INFLAMMATION

Certain foods cause inflammation in the body. When inflammation is constant, it will eventually damage cells, tissues, and organs and leads to chronic disease. One of the most prevalent sources of inflammation in the body is sugar.

MODULE 4: PRACTICE ELIMINATION

There are seven organs the body uses to eliminate waste. These are called channels of elimination. Without proper elimination, the body would simply recirculate waste and toxins; this accumulation would lead to disease.

MODULE 5: INCREASE HYDRATION

Every aspect of the body requires water to function optimally. Water requirements vary due to a person’s gender, age, physique, lifestyle, and activity level. Water is an essential nutrient, vital for all bodily functions.

MODULE 6: PROMOTE DIGESTION

The gut is home to trillions of microbes that have a symbiotic relationship with you. They help with digestion, make vitamins, and can fight off harmful agents.

MODULE 7: IMPROVE NUTRITION

Our diet has increasingly become deficient in nutrients. Consumption of foods rich in macronutrients and micronutrients is essential for optimal health. If unable to obtain them from your diet, then consider supplementation.

MODULE 8: PERFORM EXERTION

People of all ages are spending more time indoors, living sedentary lives. This increases the risks of chronic disease, unless counteracted by physical activity.

MODULE 9: ALLOW RESTORATION

Stressful situations affect our lives, our health, and even our sleep. Without proper rest, the body cannot repair itself or even function the way that it should.

MODULE 10: SELF-CARE ADVOCATE

Once you've taken positive action towards behavioral change, you must maintain this new behavior. When developing new habits, there's always the chance to look back and fall into temptation. It's a pitfall, and avoiding this will be essential. However, if you stumble, you get back up. Having a mindset of never quitting is the key to winning.
